Included are his editorial rough drafts, and letters from Roy H. Park of Park Newspapers. Letter topics include personnel, financial, and equipment concerns. Some items pertaining to Middlesworth's political and civic interests, and some other miscellaneous items, are also in the collection. Early correspondence was written while he was a page in the U.S. Senate, and when he was an assistant in the U.S. Senate Press Gallery.
